Frequently Asked Questions

Your Webpages aren't very long. Why?
Visitors don't appreciate scrolling forever down long pages. Breaking up the Website information onto shorter pages makes finding important information faster and easier. And, the easier it is for visitors to find the information they want, the more likely they are to return to your site.

Can you teach me to update my own website?
Yes! Updating your database website is not difficult. The updates are done using a web browser such as Internet Explorer. You log in to a special website and update your site by filling in the blanks! It's very easy and you don't need to know any HTML code. Doing your own updates saves you money and time.

Can I add more to my website later?
Of course. You can have me build your basic Website now and add features at any time. You may want to start with a standard site and add database access to pages later to update news, prices, etc.

I have a budget I can't exceed. Can you work within my budget?
Yes! If you let me know your budget, I can work to complete your website within that budget. The time I spend building your Website can vary considerably depending on several factors. If you provide the text for your website in a Word document or text document, I can "cut and paste" the text, saving you the time it would take me to re-type your text. Images, too, can vary widely in the amount of time needed to process them. If you can provide your images on disk or via email (pre-scanned), I don't have to scan them. The time needed to design your Website banner (at the top of the page) can vary as well. If you want an elaborate banner, it will take more time to complete than a simple banner.

The more features you have on your Website (photo galleries, forums, tables, etc.), the more time it takes to complete your website. If you're on a budget, consider having fewer features. You can always add to your Website later.
